Job Description

Responsible for troubleshooting, installing, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial plumbing systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.

  • Plan and complete all necessary steps in the installation, maintenance, repair, and services of water, waste, and gas.
  • Perform plumbing repairs, inspections, and tasks as required per work orders or scope of work.
  • New installations, solder pipes, braise pipes, thread pipes, and pro-press.
  • Drain maintenance, drain cleaning, jetting, and camera inspection.
  • Cut openings in structures to accommodate repairs using hand and power tools
  • Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe to the required angle, using hand or power tools or machines.
  • Estimate time and materials for use in each project.
  • Purchase and deliver materials for the job.
  • Read technical data and manufacture specifications and perform repairs and installations per specifications
  • Read all technical data and MSDS information to maintain high-level safety on the jobs and follow the Safety Code of Conduct
  • Communicate field observations and job status to Management
  • Attend training and meetings as directed by Management.
  • Assist with coworkers’ needs as directed by Management
  • Maintain a high level of safety on jobs and follow the safety code of conduct
  • Responsible for the safety of the site, team, and self
  • Record all time and expenses in ProTec Connect Daily.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities

  • Lead Plumber requires 4 or more years of working experience in commercial and/or residential plumbing.
  • Trade, OSHA, and Equipment Certifications are a plus but not a requirement for the position.
  • Valid Driver’s License without any driving restrictions, no DUI or DWI in the past five years.
  • Ability to use various construction, power, and hand tools.
  • Possesses all necessary tools to complete various job assignments.
  • Knowledgeable and able to perform research and problem-solving in most aspects of Plumbing.
  • Knows construction materials, material applications, and tools.
  • Working knowledge of Plumbing materials, material applications, and tools.
  • Possesses all necessary tools to complete various job assignments
  • Self-starting capabilities, and the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Good communication skills with customers and Management.
  • Proficient in technology including basic computer skills and smartphone and tablet.
  • Able to work Overtime and On-Call Rotation schedule is required to meet the ongoing demands of the company.
  • Physical Abilities: The ability to lift 50 pounds, work at heights and able to work in extreme weather conditions, able to continually climb, balance, stoop, and kneel sometimes for prolonged periods of time is required.
