Nonprofit Development Corporation (NDC) is dedicated to strengthening communities across Butler County by developing quality affordable housing, neighborhood revitalization, and community-focused development projects.  We are seeking a dependable and experienced Skilled Carpenter to join our team and help bring these projects to life.
The Skilled Carpenter will be responsible for performing a wide range of carpentry tasks, general maintenance, and labor duties related to construction and renovation projects throughout the community.  This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to high-quality work, and the ability to follow project scopes, time schedules, and safety standards.
Schedule &

Compensation:
- Monday through Friday
- Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Hours:  7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Occasional evening and weekend on-call shifts may be required
- Travel to various job sites is required
- Company work truck provided
- Mileage reimbursement available at the state rate for use of a personal vehicle
- Hourly

Rate:  $23-$25 (based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Perform carpentry and general labor tasks in support of construction managers and supervisors at residential, commercial, and business construction sites.
- Load, unload, and transport materials.  Assist with delivery and setup of materials and equipment.
- Maintain clean and safe job sites by removing trash, residual building debris, and other materials from construction sites.
- Construct and dismantle temporary structures, including scaffolding, braces, and concrete forms.
- Assist with demolition and site preparation activities.
- Service and maintain equipment such as pumps, compressors, generators, tractors, and trailers.
- Prepare and work with construction materials, including concrete, grout, cement, sand, and plaster.
- Ability to operate a variety of construction equipment and hand tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints and designs.
- Complete assigned tasks under the direction of the Project & Facilities Manager and site supervisors.
- Demonstrate teamwork with co-workers and members of the community.
- Follow all workplace safety standards and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the mission of the agency.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in carpentry or in the construction trade
- Working knowledge of ADA requirements and applicable building codes
- Proficiency with common hand tools and general construction equipment
- Strong initiative, reliability, and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid PA driver’s license or access to reliable transportation to work sites
- Act 33/34 and FBI clearances will be required
