
Job Title: Controls Assembler (Skid Wiring):
Job Type: 90-days contract to hire
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:30AM – 4:30PM
Starting Wage: $19-$21/hr.
The Controls Assembler is responsible for the hands-on fabrication and wiring of electrical control panels and installing conduit, cable, and other components on water treatment systems. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, familiarity with electrical schematics, and the ability to follow standard procedures and specifications. Working with the Controls Assembly Lead, this position plays a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our control systems before they reach the field.
*Read and interpret electrical schematics, panel layout, and general arrangement drawings.
*Measure, layout, and assemble enclosure doors, sub-panels, terminal blocks, relays, and other control components.
*Cut, strip, crimp, bend, and route wiring in accordance with drawings and electrical standards.
*Perform point-to-point wiring, cable routing, conduit bending, and component mounting on skids
*Follow all standard fabrication and assembly practices, including proper labeling and documentation.
*Execute wiring and terminations with accuracy and consistency.
*Identify and communicate quality issues, material defects, or design discrepancies to the Controls Assembly Lead or the Electrical Engineer of record.
*Complete red-line markups on electrical drawings to reflect the as-built conditions.
*Assist with fabrication or assembly work outside the electrical area when needed.
*Maintain a clean and safe workspace and comply with all shop safety procedures.
*Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
*Familiarity with basic hand tools and electrical assembly equipment (wire strippers, crimpers, drills, etc.).
*Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
*Good communication and teamwork skills.
*Willingness to learn and take direction from team leads and supervisors.
*Familiarity with 24VDC, 120VAC, and 480VAC/3 phase circuits.
*Experience in UL508A panel assembly is a plus.
*Exposure to water treatment, pump control systems, or similar process environments is a plus.
