What are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced and talented Site Technicians that will be responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, and analytical testing of the plant’s process and wastewater systems. The technician will ensure that all process parameters are within specification, conducts daily water quality analyses, maintains proper housekeeping, and ensures compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

What do we expect from the candidate?

The candidate will be part of our technical team based at Toyota SA. Must be based in Durban (KZN).

The key responsibilities:

• Foster strong relationships with key personnel within TSAM.

• Manage chemical stock on a daily basis and filling of dosing tanks.

• Daily Water Meter readings and record these.

• Daily Water Chemistry Testing of Effluent Batches and Cooling Towers.

• Ensure all sites comply with Health, Safety and Quality requirements of Company.

• Track and complete Visual Workplace information as required.

• Perform daily treatment on Sludge Dams.

• Monitor and report on Potable water quality.

• Perform problem solving and repairs as required.

If you possess…

Must-Have

• Grade 12 (Matric).

• B – Tech degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Analytical Chemistry.

• 1 to 5 years’ experience in a similar environment.

• Must be physically fit.

• Thorough, accurate and detail oriented.

• Strong relationship builder.

• Self-disciplined.
