Compensation: £17.00 / hour

The Site Support Specialist provides flexible, hands-on support across site operations, facilities, logistics, transport, and vehicle activities to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of Enva Northern Ireland's facilities. The role requires a multi-skilled individual capable of supporting a wide range of operational requirements, operating specialist equipment and vehicles, and assisting with the maintenance of site standards, safety, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational support across all site functions.
  • Support facilities and site maintenance activities to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Assist with logistics and transport operations, including vehicle movements, material handling, and transport coordination.
  • Operate a range of fleet vehicles, heavy goods vehicles, plant, and specialist equipment as required.
  • Carry out routine inspections and basic fault finding, reporting defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
  • Support waste management, recycling, material processing, and operational activities across the site.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and site presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and company procedures.
  • Assist in the movement of equipment, materials, and resources across operational areas.
  • Respond effectively to operational issues and provide practical solutions to support business continuity.
  • Work collaboratively with operational, maintenance, and transport teams to achieve site objectives.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties required to support the business.

Job Requirements:
  • Full-time permanent role
  • 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Travel may be required across sites
  • Flexibility in working hours may be required to support operational demands

  • Experience operating heavy goods vehicles in an industrial or operational environment.
  • Experience operating heavy plant, machinery, and specialist equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding capability.
  • Ability to work flexibly across a range of operational activities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrable commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Desirable:
  • Experience within waste management, recycling, environmental services, logistics, transport, or industrial operations.
  • Relevant plant and machinery certifications.
  • Experience supporting site maintenance and facilities activities.
  • Knowledge of waste handling and environmental compliance requirements.
Personal Attributes:
The successful candidate will be a Multi-Skilled Site Support Specialist with extensive experience supporting site operations, facilities activities, logistics, and transport requirements across diverse operational environments. Holding Class 1 (C+E) and Class 2 (C) licences, they will have substantial experience operating a wide range of heavy goods vehicles, heavy plant, and specialist equipment.
