
Head Start Birth-5 has an opening for a full-time Site Support Professional position working 35 hours per week. The Site Support Professional is responsible for assisting the Site Director in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the assigned Head Start Birth-5 Center. Including assisting lead teachers, family advocates, home visitors and cooks, creating a safe and engaging learning environment and supporting the overall needs of the classroom and socializations.
The Site Support Professional will be involved in various tasks, including independent judgement and decision-making authority as established and authorized by the Head Start Birth-5 Site Director and Assistant Director. This position will follow the health and safety standards to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment, practice active supervision, and promote a culture of safety in the Head Start Birth-5 Center. The Site Support Professional will assist with supervision of Head Start Birth-5 Staff and staff scheduling to ensure daily program operations and responsibilities are met at assigned location. The Site Support Professional will develop a thorough understanding of team roles and responsibilities, including but not limited to reviewing job descriptions and participating in cross-training to effectively support and assist staff.
Requirements
A graduate of an accredited college or university with at least an associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Management, HR or correlated discipline preferred; CDA may be considered if willing to further education. Supervisory experience preferred.
Must meet Head Start and Indiana Childcare Licensing Regulations, including Head Start Standards of Conduct, federal and state criminal history requirements, sex offender registry checks, drug screen, physical and complete an annual T.B. test.
