Site Supervisor

The Security Supervisors is responsible for overseeing the activities of the shift which provides safety and protects all patrons, employees, and company/client assets. Supervise programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries. Review staffing levels to maintain full coverage of posts. Delegate authority and assign responsibilities. Investigate incidents and/or customer complaints and compile data for accurate reporting. Patrols assigned site/Gallery on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.

Essential Functions

1) Functions as an Administrative Support / Lead Supervisor of Security Officers, Lead Officers and other company personnel assigned; acts to ensure that all post orders are followed, that established rounds are completed, and that adequate reports are filed; notifies proper authorities and client in emergency situations.

2) Prepare reports on internal investigations, losses, or violations of regulations, policies, and procedures. Examples of reports are but not limited to:

a. Tracks, Prepares, and Submits reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

b. Tracks, Prepares, and Submits reports on patron attendance.

c. Tracks, Prepares, and Submits reports on training requirements.

d. Tracks, Prepares, and Submits reports on various emergency equipment.

3) Coaches and disciplines personnel as appropriate; seeks advice as appropriate; meets personally with officers and documents coaching and disciplinary actions.

a. In conjunction with management, accesses security officers’ skills, talents, performance and prepares written evaluations with advice for improvement.

b. Communicate with team members, management, and client to ensure all needs are met.

c. Inspects posts as scheduled and meets with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.

4) Oversee the training in all key areas of the security operation, including various post assignments to include special event coverage.

a. Research new training materials and supplies that might enhance our training procedures and provide value to our employees.

b. In conjunction with management – Identify future training needs.

c. Assists with review of monthly trainings with all Officers on various subjects and/or post assignments as needed.

d. In conjunction with management– Schedule and conduct on the job training.

5) As assigned, in accordance with applicable company policies and procedures and in compliance with state and federal laws, carries out supervisory duties that can include some or all the following: interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and making hiring and site removal recommendations.

6) In conjunction with the Security Management ensure that the control room/workstations and all equipment is always maintained satisfactorily by managing access control and CCTV systems:

a. Ensuring that alarms are responded too, investigated, and remedied.

b. Ensure the service can offer full integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of all information in accordance with the company/client policy and standard operation procedures in place, whilst seeking to preserve the rights of the individual.

c. Accurately record all events and actions monitored from within the control room or workstation, including the maintenance of daily logs.

d. In conjunction with management process digital viewing requests for evidential purposes

7) In conjunction with company management or designated representatives ensures adequate coverage of all posts and positions.

a. Prepares Daily Posts Schedules

b. Reviews weekly schedules to ensure proper coverage.

c. Assisting with last minute requests and shift coverage (call outs, last minute events, contractor posts, etc.)

8) 50% of the time the Administrative Support / Lead Supervisor will perform the duties of a Security Officer in accordance with Client post orders and company policy.

Minimum Hiring Standards:

· Must be at least 18 years of age.

· Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., pager or phone).

· Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).

· Must have the legal right to work in the Unites States.

· Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.

· Must have a High School Diploma or GED/ High Set.

· Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Education/Experience:

H.S. diploma or G.E.D., and 2 years of security-related training or experience, including lead or supervisory experience, sufficient to meet the requirements of the assigned site, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, as determined by the company.

Competencies: (As demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing)

· Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.

· Must be able to meet and continue to meet requirements for specific skills, certifications or authorizations specified for the assigned site.

· Ability to obtain certification and perform First Aid /CPR.

· Ability to obtain certification as a certified international protection specialist through the International Foundation for Cultural Property and Protection

· Knowledge of security operations and procedures.

· Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.

· Ability to supervise staff, including assigning work and providing training and discipline.

· Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance.

· Understanding of a variety of security and safety devices and controls.

· Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word/Excel)

· Ability to learn emerging technologies.

· Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments.

· Ability to be an effective team member.

· Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.

· Courteous telephone manners.

· Ability to adapt to various posts and changes in post procedures.

· Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization.

· Ability to work various shifts and assignments for training requirements.

· Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.

· Good organizational skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, at various social levels and across diverse cultures.
