The opportunity

Downer Group, Logan Water, WSP, and Stantec have a long-standing partnership to deliver infrastructure planning, asset management, design, and project delivery for the City of Logan. This fast-paced, stable, and highly rewarding program has won several awards.

Due to expansion, this team have an opportunity for a Site Supervisor to join in a full-time, permanent capacity based at the site in Beenleigh, working on major capital work projects in our water and wastewater stream.

This role will provide stability and longevity whilst delivering meaningful work. Logan City Council residents are encouraged to apply!

What you’ll do

The Site Supervisor is integral to the seamless delivery of construction projects across our water and wastewater capital and networks program in the Logan Region. Through day-to-day management of subcontractors and work crews, the Site Supervisor directs, prioritises and coordinates work to support schedule, budget and safety outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate and schedule resources and materials across designated sites.

• Manage the day-to-day activities of work crews and subcontractors whilst fostering a strong safety culture, consideration for environmental and local impacts.

• Develop strong stakeholder relationships and participate in consultative processes that impact project delivery and value-for-money outcomes.

• Ensure Downer standards are implemented and upheld across sites for legislation, community engagement, risk assessments, safety, and incident and near-miss reporting.

What we’re looking for

• Qualification in frontline management or equivalent

• 5 – 10 years of supervisory experience in civil construction and pipelaying.

• Demonstrated experience in managing subcontractors, site safety and environmental management, development of construction program and quality control management.

• A clear communicator with strong leadership qualities.
