Job Description

Ready to build the future?

Imagine leading the on‑site delivery of a first‑of‑its‑kind deployment. One that will shape how complex mechanical systems are delivered across Australia and beyond. Benmax has spent 40 years earning a reputation for excellence, and now we’re taking on some of the most exciting and technically challenging projects in the region. This is your chance to step into a pivotal role, influence how this new deployment model is delivered, and grow your career while you do it.

As our Site Supervisor, you’ll coordinate multiple trades, manage high‑risk lifting and logistics, and keep the project moving safely and efficiently. If you’re a natural problem‑solver who thrives in dynamic environments and values open, honest communication, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

You can expect to:

  • Lead and motivate site teams to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets
  • Act as the primary on‑site contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Manage rigging, logistics, crane lifts, and equipment allocation
  • Coordinate up to four concurrent trade groups in a sequenced assembly environment, including structural lifting and component installation, plumbing fit‑off, electrical connections and fit‑off, and QA/engineering checks
  • Identify program, cost, and quality issues early and escalate for resolution
  • Maintain accurate site records, daily diaries, QA documentation, and progress reports
  • Ensure compliance with WHS procedures and proactively manage hazards
  • Promote a positive, solutions‑focused team culture
  • Mentor tradespeople and apprentices to build capability and maintain high standards

What you’ll bring

  • A strong background in rigging and logistics, with proven capability in planning and executing complex lifting operations
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple trades in a sequenced installation or modular assembly environment
  • Highly developed construction and WHS knowledge, with a strong understanding of compliance, safe systems of work, and industry standards
  • Strong capability in hazard identification, risk management, and first aid response
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, with experience in Procure and Aconex highly regarded
  • An open, honest communication style. You’re comfortable raising program, cost, or quality issues early to support proactive problem‑solving
  • Confident working independently in remote settings, with the flexibility to travel nationally and internationally when needed
  • Minimum five years post‑trade experience, ideally with exposure to complex installation or multi‑trade coordination
  • Previous site leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Permanent working rights in Australia

Qualifications

  • A recognised trade qualification in a relevant field (Mechanical Plumber, Boilermaker/Metal Fabricator, Rigger/Dogman, Electrician or HVAC Technician)
  • Current high‑risk work licences relevant to rigging activities include Dogman (DG) and Basic Rigging (RB) as essential, with Intermediate Rigging (RI) considered desirable
  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Asbestos Awareness and Silica Awareness training
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Certificate IV in WHS (desirable)

How to apply

Please submit your application by uploading a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role, along with your most recent CV, via the Apply button.
