Job Description

The Site Supervision Engineer is responsible for executing day-to-day site inspections and technical monitoring of construction activities, ensuring that civil, structural, architectural, and related building works are performed in accordance with approved design drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and schedule targets.

This role acts as a primary technical presence in the field, monitoring contractor execution, supporting cross-disciplinary coordination with MEP services, and actively supporting the project's quality (QA/QC) and safety (HSE) procedures on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily routine site inspections for ongoing civil, structural, architectural, and site infrastructure works.
  • Verify that all materials, execution techniques, and workmanship on-site strictly comply with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, and local codes.
  • Inspect structural elements, concrete pours, steel frame assemblies, masonry, floor slabs, and buildings envelopes details during execution.
  • Assist in reviewing and coordinating with the technical team for contractor technical submittals, including Requests for Information (RFIs), shop drawings, Material Approval Requests (MARs), and work method statements.
  • Log, monitor, and assist in resolving site quality issues; perform re-inspections for closed-out Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and punch list items under the direction of the Senior Engineer.
  • Coordinate on-site with MEP inspectors to ensure smooth integration of systems with civil and structural works.
  • Monitor daily contractor workforce deployment, equipment usage, work productivity, and activity sequence against short-term target schedules.
  • Identify field execution delays early and report them to the Senior Site Supervision Engineer for resolution.
  • Coordinate regularly with the on-site HSE Team to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Support HSE enforcement during daily site walks.
  • Prepare accurate daily site logs, inspection reports, and photographic records documenting site progress, manpower counts, weather conditions, and site challenges.
  • Support the Senior Engineer in gathering data for weekly/monthly progress reports and quantifying work progress for monthly contractor payment validations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant construction and site supervision experience, preferably on major and complex projects.
  • Prior site supervision experience on aviation-related projects or specialized industrial/large-span structural projects is strongly preferred.
  • Sound working understanding of MEP systems to ensure effective interdisciplinary coordination on site.
  • Membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) or professional licensing is required.
  • Familiarity with international and local building codes, site quality control processes, and standard construction methodology.
  • Awareness of aviation facility technical requirements and local regulatory/authority compliance.
  • Proficiency in Revit, CAD software (AutoCAD), document control systems (Aconex), and MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple contractors, interfaces, and priorities within a demanding project environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
  • Understanding of sustainable construction practices and their application within project delivery.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
