Job Description

Site Superintendent

Location: Hamilton, Ontario

Salary: $100,000 to $120,000 annually

Our client is an established construction company based in
the Hamilton area with a strong track record delivering ICI building projects
across Southern Ontario. Their work includes commercial, industrial,
institutional, and mixed use construction, with a practical hands on approach
to general contracting, project management, and design build delivery.

They are currently looking for an experienced Site
Superintendent to join their team and oversee construction activity on ICI
building projects in the Hamilton and surrounding area.

This is a strong opportunity for a construction professional
who enjoys being close to the work, leading trades, solving problems on site,
and taking ownership of day to day project execution. The successful candidate
will be responsible for keeping the site organized, productive, safe, and
moving in the right direction.

What you will be doing

  • Oversee daily site operations on ICI building construction
    projects.

  • Coordinate trades, suppliers, site staff, and subcontractors
    to maintain project progress.

  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, shop
    drawings, and site instructions.

  • Work closely with the project manager to plan work, track
progress, identify issues, and support project delivery.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.

  • Ensure work is completed according to drawings,
specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.

  • Coordinate inspections, deliveries, site logistics,
    deficiencies, and construction sequencing.

  • Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor
    performance.

  • Lead regular site meetings and communicate clearly with
trades, consultants, clients, and internal team members.

  • Identify conflicts, delays, or constructability issues early
and help resolve them before they affect the project.

  • Maintain daily reports, site records, safety documentation,
    and project related paperwork.

  • Support a positive, professional site culture with a focus
on quality, safety, accountability, and respect.

What we are looking for

  • Experience as a Site Superintendent on ICI building
    projects.

  • Strong background in commercial, industrial, institutional,
    or similar building construction.

  • Ability to manage trades, site logistics, schedules,
inspections, and day to day construction activity.

  • Strong understanding of drawings, specifications,
    construction sequencing, and site coordination.

  • Practical knowledge of safety requirements and quality
    control on active construction sites.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with trades, consultants,
clients, suppliers, and internal project teams.

  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to make sound
    decisions in the field.

  • Organized, reliable, and able to keep projects moving while
    maintaining quality and safety.

  • Experience with ground up construction, renovations,
additions, commercial buildings, industrial buildings, or institutional
projects would be considered an asset.

Why this opportunity is worth considering

This is an opportunity to join a respected Hamilton area
construction company with a long standing presence in the local market. The
company offers steady ICI building work, a practical construction culture, and
the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful projects close to home.

The successful candidate will suit an environment where
people are expected to communicate clearly, work hard, support the team, and
take pride in delivering quality buildings.
