We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to join our growing team! The Site Superintendent is responsible for managing the day-to-day field operations of restoration and reconstruction projects resulting from water, fire, mold, storm, and other property damage. This role provides on-site leadership by coordinating employees, subcontractors, equipment, and materials to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with company standards, industry best practices, and insurance requirements. The Site Superintendent works closely with Project Managers, Estimators, and customers to monitor project progress, resolve field issues, maintain quality control, and deliver exceptional customer service throughout the restoration process. By promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence, this position plays a key role in restoring properties and helping customers recover from unexpected losses.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of restoration projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to monitor workmanship, safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company policies, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and resolve field issues, unexpected site conditions, and scheduling conflicts to maintain project timelines.
  • Review project scopes of work and ensure field execution aligns with approved estimates, change orders, and customer expectations.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily site reports, labor hours, equipment usage, photographs, safety documentation, and progress updates.
  • Enforce company safety policies, conduct site safety meetings, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in emergency response activities, including after-hours, weekend, and on-call assignments when required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and customer service.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience
    • 5+ years of experience in restoration, construction, or a related industry.
    • 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience managing field personnel and subcontractors.
    • Experience with restoration projects involving water, fire, mold, storm, and reconstruction is preferred.
    • Experience interpreting construction drawings, scopes of work, and project specifications.
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
    • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Working knowledge of restoration equipment, drying principles, demolition, reconstruction, and building systems.
    • Knowledge of applicable building codes, occupational health and safety regulations, and industry best practices.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management or restoration software (e.g., Xactimate, DASH, Encircle, or similar platforms).
    • Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and schedules.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and emergency response situations as needed.
    • Ability to travel as needed.
    • Must have valid driver’s license.
