
Site Superintendent
Location: Lindsay, ON or Simcoe County, ON
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,000 – $120,000, dependent on experience
About the Company
Our client is a well-established construction firm based in Central Ontario with a strong presence across Simcoe County and surrounding areas. They specialize in Industrial, Commercial, Institutional, and Multi-Unit Residential construction and regularly complete projects ranging from $5 million to $30 million.
Most of their work is located within approximately 75 minutes of Barrie. They do not build in the GTA and generally operate north of the Vaughan area.
Our client is looking to immediately hire an experienced Site Superintendent to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating trades, maintaining project schedules, ensuring site safety, and delivering high-quality construction projects. Projects may be located in Lindsay, ON or throughout Simcoe County, depending on the successful candidate’s location and ability.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily site operations from start to finish.
Coordinate trades, suppliers, site staff, and subcontractors.
Maintain a safe, clean, respectful, and productive job site.
Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction details.
Ensure work is completed according to plans, quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.
Monitor project progress and communicate updates with the project team.
Identify site issues early and work collaboratively to find practical solutions.
Maintain strong communication with project managers, consultants, trades, and ownership.
Support a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and quality.
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience as a Site Superintendent or in a senior site supervisory role.
Strong experience within the ICI construction sector.
Experience with Industrial, Commercial, Institutional, or Multi-Unit Residential projects is preferred.
Strong working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, sequencing, and site coordination.
Ability to lead trades and crews while maintaining a safe and respectful job site.
Strong organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced field environment.
Thorough understanding of construction processes and practices in Ontario.
Ability to review and understand building plans.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Ontario G Licence.
Required safety certifications, including WHMIS and Working at Heights.
Proficiency with MS Project, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.
Post-secondary education in Civil, Architectural, Structural, or Construction-related disciplines is considered an asset.
Gold Seal Certification is considered an asset.
Supervisory Awareness & Accountability training is considered an asset.
