Job Description

The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established residential design–build company specializing in custom home additions and indoor–outdoor renovation projects across the GTA.

As they continue to grow, they are strengthening their field leadership team and are looking to add a hands-on Site Superintendent who can take ownership of day-to-day jobsite execution across multiple active projects.

This role reports directly to the Operations Manager and plays a key part in ensuring projects are delivered with consistency, quality, and a strong homeowner experience

What You’ll Be Doing

You will take full ownership of on-site construction activities, leading crews and coordinating subtrades to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of workmanship.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited for someone who is comfortable in the field and takes pride in running organized, well-executed job sites.

Key Responsibilities

Site Leadership & Execution

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple residential projects
  • Lead installation crews and coordinate subtrades to maintain workflow and sequencing
  • Pre-plan upcoming work, ensuring materials, labour, and schedules are aligned
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe job sites

Quality & Workmanship

  • Inspect work to ensure it meets drawings, specifications, and company standards
  • Identify and address deficiencies proactively
  • Ensure compliance with the Ontario Building Code

Scheduling & Coordination

  • Work closely with Project Management and Operations to maintain schedules
  • Coordinate deliveries, trades, and inspections
  • Identify risks early and adjust plans to keep projects on track

Health & Safety

  • Take ownership of jobsite safety and ensure compliance with OHSA standards
  • Conduct site safety checks, toolbox talks, and enforce safe work practices

Client Interaction

  • Act as a professional on-site representative of the company
  • Communicate clearly with homeowners to maintain confidence throughout construction
  • Support resolution of deficiencies and warranty items as needed

Team Development

  • Support and mentor junior installers and apprentices
  • Contribute to improving field processes and overall site execution

Compensation Overview

The position offers a competitive base salary aligned to experience and scope of responsibility. In addition to base salary, health and dental benefits are provided, along with eligibility for a discretionary performance bonus based on company and individual results.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • 8–12 years of residential construction experience in Ontario
  • 3–5+ years in a site leadership or superintendent-level role
  • Experience managing multiple residential projects at once
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of construction methods (framing, roofing, glazing, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of construction sequencing and the Ontario Building Code
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with homeowners
  • Proven ability to coordinate trades, manage schedules, and solve problems in real time
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel across the GTA
