Job Title: Site Services Engineer – Remote & Autonomous Technologies
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Starting Compensation Range: $79,000 - $101,000 per year
What You Will Do:
- Collaborate with sales team to understand general needs of customers; Working directly with CTC’s, Product Support and Sales Teams to drive results leveraging CAT Autonomous and Remote-Control Products
- Work in conjunction with Site Services and Performance teams to help develop site-based performance measurements
- Provide Marketing and Sales support for Caterpillar Command Technology products to identify customer prospects
- Monitor assigned customer’s performance data and provide feedback on gains and opportunities
- Acting project lead on deployment of Command RC and Autonomy solutions
- Field Follow lead for all CAT Command technologies
- Provide feedback to CAT and working with CAT on product updates, refinements, and future development priorities
- Provide customer and sales rep training on RC and Autonomy as needed
- Act as an asset manager of Carter Rental Autonomy and Remote-Control units
- Make proactive recommendations on how operations can be improved by leveraging data
- Work directly with Customer Software specialists on new site set up and data acquisition
- Perform ongoing analysis of customer needs vs. product specifications; Make recommendations on software product improvements and/or new products
- Ensure procedural documentation is created and maintained with updated information
- Travel as needed to customer sites
- Specialized focus on specific industries based on geographic location of position. (IE: Mining, Quarry, and/or Construction)
- Work in coordination with team to achieve Continuous Improvement goals and objectives
- Perform other related duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- Expert knowledge of Command Technologies including RC and Autonomy
- Deep understanding of all aspects of customer job site needs and management
- Fundamental understanding of industry application, specifically Quarry and Aggregates, Large Earth Moving, Waste Handling, Construction and Mining
- Industry knowledge in Machine Control and Guidance and various Site Applications to include, but not limited to: Quarry/Aggregate, Waste and Civil Construction
- Previous experience evaluating digital construction technology projects, preferred
- Previous experience with Quarry/Aggregate, Waste and Civil Construction applications, preferred
- Previous project management and cross-functional coordination experience, preferred
- Excellent customer satisfaction with ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of Data and Analytics
- Quickly learn technology products, including Product Link, SOS, CAT Connect, Trimble software options, and other similar products
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent driving record
