Job Purpose: The ISOC Lead is responsible for overseeing the effective functioning of the Integrated Security Operations Center (ISOC). The role focuses on leveraging advanced security technologies, real-time monitoring, and incident response mechanisms to ensure a proactive and comprehensive security framework across the organization. The ISOC Lead coordinates with multiple stakeholders to mitigate risks, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with established security protocols and regulatory requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
ISOC Lead
ISOC Operations Management:
Oversee the daytoday operations of the Integrated Security Operations Center, ensuring realtime monitoring of critical assets and infrastructure.
Develop and implement SOPs for ISOC operations to ensure consistent and efficient responses to security incidents.
Ensure the smooth integration of various security systems, including surveillance, access control, and threat detection technologies.
Threat Intelligence and Risk Mitigation:
Monitor global and local threat landscapes to provide actionable intelligence to relevant teams.
Conduct regular risk assessments and threat analyses to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to incorporate the latest tools and practices into ISOC operations.
Incident Response and Crisis Management:
Lead the development and implementation of an incident response framework, ensuring rapid identification, escalation, and resolution of security events.
Coordinate with onground security teams and external stakeholders during crises to minimize impact.
Review and analyze incident reports to improve response strategies and prevent recurrence.
Technology Integration and Optimization:
Drive the adoption of advanced technologies, such as AI and machine learning, for predictive analytics in security monitoring.
Ensure the ISOC systems are regularly updated, maintained, and optimized for peak performance.
Collaborate with IT and technology teams to align ISOC capabilities with organizational objectives.
Stakeholder Coordination and Reporting:
Act as the central point of contact between ISOC operations, site security teams, and senior management.
Provide detailed reports on ISOC activities, including incident trends, key metrics, and improvement recommendations.
Facilitate regular reviews and feedback sessions with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.
Team Training and Development:
Develop and implement training programs for ISOC personnel to enhance their technical and analytical capabilities.
Conduct regular skill assessments and provide mentoring to ensure the team remains updated on the latest industry practices.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the ISOC team.

Security Strategy Execution:
- Assist the Site Security Lead in implementing site-level security strategies derived from the business unit’s strategic roadmap.
- Support the roll-out of specific security initiatives and ensure alignment with the site’s operational requirements.
- Provide feedback on ground-level challenges to refine and improve strategy execution.
Security Governance:
- Conduct regular checks to ensure compliance with established SOPs, statutory requirements, and internal governance protocols.
- Participate in governance-related reviews, providing updates on operational compliance and risk mitigation efforts.
- Maintain and update site-specific security documentation, such as audit logs, compliance records, and incident reports.
Access Control and Visitor Management:
- Enforce access control measures for personnel, vehicles, and material movement, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
- Oversee issuance and tracking of visitor and employee access cards, maintaining accurate records.
- Investigate and escalate unauthorized access attempts or security breaches to the Site Security Lead.
Surveillance and Patrolling:
- Monitor surveillance systems (e.g., CCTV, alarms) to ensure operational effectiveness and proper coverage of critical areas.
- Conduct regular patrols of high-priority zones to detect and address potential security risks.
- Maintain detailed logs of patrol findings and escalate issues requiring strategic interventions.
Incident and Emergency Response:
- Act as the first responder to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, ensuring swift and effective action.
- Support the Site Security Lead in executing emergency response and control plans (ERCP) during incidents.
- Document all incidents thoroughly and assist in post-incident analysis to improve readiness.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to legal and internal security policies, including operational compliance with access control and surveillance protocols.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and incident-specific reports to the Site Security Lead.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and operational data.
Coordination with External Security Teams:
- Supervise third-party security service providers to ensure alignment with site protocols and SLA requirements.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as law enforcement or emergency responders, during incidents or drills.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Inspect security equipment daily, ensuring all systems (CCTV, alarms, control rooms) are functional.
- Report malfunctions and coordinate with maintenance teams for timely repairs or replacements
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related fields.
Certification:
Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or GIAC Security Operations Center (GSOC) certification are highly preferred.
Work Experience (Range of years):
Minimum 10–12 years of experience in security operations, with at least 5 years in managing or leading an Integrated Security Operations Center (ISOC).
Proven track record in real-time security monitoring, incident response, and threat intelligence.
Experience in leveraging advanced security technologies, including AI, machine learning, and automation tools, for monitoring and risk mitigation.
