Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising daily construction activities to ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations and site safety requirements.
  • Plan and implement site safety signage, notice boards, and safety awareness posters.
  • Ensure all workers consistently wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with approved safe work methods.
  • Immediately intervene when unsafe acts or conditions are observed and report them to the Safety Officer.
  • Conduct daily site safety inspections to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-conformities.
  • Assist the Safety Officer in preparing and reviewing Risk Assessments (RA) and control measures.
  • Follow up on corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely and effective implementation.
  • Verify all site personnel's local statutory certifications and work permits, including CIDB Green Cards, PKK competency certificates, and trade-specific competency certificates. Ensure proper preparation, display, and implementation of Risk Assessments (RA), Permit-to-Work (PTW), and other statutory requirements to prevent unauthorized work and regulatory non-compliance.
  • Monitor high-risk activities in accordance with Malaysian regulatory requirements, including working at height, hot work, temporary electrical works, lifting operations, and confined space entry. Enforce local safety protection standards and stop any unsafe work that does not comply with Malaysian regulations.
  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings to strengthen hazard awareness and promote safe work practices.
  • Assist in implementing EHS policies, procedures, and site-specific safety requirements.
  • Promptly report incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts to the Safety Officer or EHS management.
  • Assist in incident investigations, including evidence collection and documentation.
  • Maintain close coordination with the Safety Officer, site management team, and subcontractors, including preparing and submitting safety-related reports.
  • Assist the Safety Officer in supervising subcontractor EHS personnel and monitoring their safety performance.
  • Support the Safety Officer in carrying out assigned duties and perform other ad-hoc EHS tasks assigned by management.


Job Requirements

  • Minimum SPM, Certificate, or Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Site Safety Supervisor or in a similar safety role within the construction industry.
  • Possess a valid DOSH Yellow Book.
  • Possess a valid First Aid Certificate.
  • Training or certification in Fire Safety, Working at Height, and Confined Space will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in data centre, industrial, or high-tech facility construction projects is preferred.
  • Experience working on fast-track or high-intensity construction projects is preferred.
  • Familiar with EHS documentation management, Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, and site safety records.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Mandarin communication ability is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to respond decisively and take appropriate action under pressure.
