Job Description

The Site Safety & Compliance Lead serves as the senior safety representative for an assigned market, creating a safe, compliant, and operationally sound workplace. Reporting to the Director of Mobility Safety, this role leads environmental health and safety compliance, employee safety, incident and injury management, emergency preparedness, operational assurance, and local safety-culture efforts. The position works closely with employees and local leaders to identify and correct hazards, reinforce safe work and driving practices, and apply Just Culture and Safety Management System principles across fleet operations.

A Day in the Life:

No two days are the same. You may begin by walking the site and addressing an employee safety concern, then coach a driver on safe behaviors, review an incident and supporting video, or coordinate care for an injured employee. Throughout the day, you will partner with local leaders, track corrective actions, monitor regulatory and operational compliance, prepare teams for emergencies, and deliver practical safety training. Your visible presence and sound judgment will help employees feel supported while strengthening accountability and a proactive safety culture.

The salary range for this position is $85,000-$105,000

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the primary on-site resource for employee safety concerns; investigate, resolve, and document issues in the Safety Management System
  • Provide real-time coaching on safe work practices and driving behaviors, and champion local safety campaigns, committees, and toolbox talks
  • Conduct routine site inspections, verify PPE compliance, identify hazards, and track corrective actions through closure
  • Manage workplace injuries and illnesses, coordinate medical care and workers’ compensation cases, support OSHA recordkeeping, and ensure first-aid readiness
  • Coordinate spill response, environmental permits, waste handling, and compliance with established EHS policies and standards
  • Lead or oversee minor and moderate incident investigations, preserve evidence, review video and facts, identify contributing factors, and ensure objective documentation and closure
  • Develop local emergency plans and maps; lead drills; maintain emergency equipment; train employees; and coordinate with first responders during events
  • Conduct operational compliance audits, identify process gaps, monitor telematics and driver-coaching compliance, and escalate safety or quality risks
  • Deliver ongoing safety training, promote hazard and near-miss reporting, and validate safety knowledge before employees begin independent work

What We’re Looking For:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Five or more years of EHS experience in transportation, logistics, fleet operations, manufacturing, or a similar multi-site environment
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations including 29 CFR 1910, recordkeeping, injury reporting, workplace inspections, and emergency action plans
  • Experience managing workplace injuries, workers’ compensation, return-to-work processes, and incident investigations
  • Experience conducting operational compliance or quality audits and translating findings into practical corrective actions
  • Strong safety leadership, coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence employees and supervisors without formal authority
  • Emergency-response experience, including drills, emergency-plan execution, and coordination with first responders
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, exercise sound judgment, and escalate appropriately
  • Proficiency with safety platforms and telematics tools; Samsara or a similar platform is preferred.
  • Preferred qualifications include OSHA 30-Hour, ASP, First Aid/CPR, emergency-management, or equivalent certifications; familiarity with SMS or ISO 45001; fleet or mobility-industry experience; and bilingual capability relevant to the market

What You’ll Get:

  • Paid Time Off
  • Medical, Dental & Vision plan options
  • Retirement programs, including 401(k) employer matching
  • Paid Parental Leave & Adoption Assistance
  • Employee Assistance Program for employees & family
  • Educational Reimbursement & Discounts
  • Voluntary Insurance Programs - Pet, Legal/Identity Theft, Critical Illness
  • Perks & Discounts –Theme Park Tickets, Gym Discounts & more
