The Technology organization enables and accelerates the company’s growth strategies, delivering global capabilities and services in support of Amex’s customers and colleagues, while maintaining 24/7 servicing and availability to ensure an uninterrupted, high-quality customer experience.   • You will design, develop, test, debug and maintain application environments in a highly automated way. To do this you will use tools and scripts to automate deployment and monitor systems, with guidance and within a blueprint that the engineer enriches.
  • As part of an agile team, install, maintain, and optimize tools and infrastructure to support our internal and customer related projects
  • Keep operational topics and security in mind
  • Interact with internal and external colleagues based at our German and Polish subsidiaries
  • With expertise in operations, cloud, network, and monitoring, shape the continuous development of our SaaS platform and product landscape
  • Develop new solutions in the area of infrastructure and tool operations and monitoring and being responsible for implementing them independently
  • Support projects with expertise, analyze problems in the team, and drive optimizations
  • Independently acquire knowledge of new tools and technologies and evaluate if they are suitable and economical for our projects
  • Actively drive topics, always having the goal in mind and accepting challenges
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud, systems, network and tool administration (bonus: knowledge and experience in AWS tech stack and services)
  • Knowledge of DevOps toolchain: CI/CD pipelines, containerization, automation and configuration management
  • Managing monitoring tools
  • Troubleshooting and support for infrastructure and DevOps and application
  • Experience working with a DevOps mindset (ship it as you would run it)
  • Working in an international, distributed team
  • Excellent English (C1) is a prerequisite, German, Japanese, Chinese a plus
