Position Overview

An exciting new opportunity has opened for aSite ReliabilityEngineerwithin theAutodeskPDMS Platform SREteamThe successful candidate will wear multiplehats: first responder, performance analyst, system architect, capacity planner,and monitoring expert.  Good technical and communication skills are required for you to be successfulinthis role.  A passion for learningnew technologiesand a desire to solve problemsyou come across are the keys to being successful in this role.In accordance withU.S. government contracting and ITAR compliance obligations, this role requires U.S. citizenship or U.S. lawful permanent residency. Employment is contingent upon meeting all applicable government security and eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement hosting solutions for highly dynamic SaaS web applications, ensuring reliability and performance at scale

  • Design, implement, andmaintainInfrastructure-as-Code solutions to support scalable, reliable, and secure global environments

  • Ensure efficient and well-documented standards, processes, and best practices

  • Implement security andcompliance withbest practices across infrastructure and applications,includinghardening, enforcingleast privileges

  • Use modern administration tools like Docker, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation/CDK to manage and deploy containers and virtual machines

  • Collaboratewith development, testing, and documentation teams during the product development cycle to ensure quality control

  • Automate processes and integratenew technologiesas needed

  • Define andmonitorService Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and manage error budgets to ensure reliability goals are met

  • Work with stakeholders to align technical strategy with business requirements

  • Participate inon-callsupport andincident management, ensuringtimelyresolution and clear communication

  • Conductpost-incidentblameless postmortems toidentifyroot causes and drive continuous improvement

  • Self-starter mindset with a strong drive to learn and own initiatives to promote a culture of continuous improvement, and excellence

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ yearsDevOps/SREexperience with cloud-based applications

  • Advancedhands-on experienceLinux administration skills, including monitoring, troubleshooting,reliabilityand security

  • Must have U.S. citizenship or have U.S. lawful permanent residency. Employment is contingent upon meeting all applicable government security and eligibility requirements

  • Experience managing large-scale cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)

  • Strong scriptingabilities(eg.Bash, Python, Perl, etc.)

  • Expert-level knowledgeofAWSservices(EC2,ECS,EKS,Lambda, ELB, S3, IAM, VPC, Dynamo DB, RDS, etc.)

  • Hands-onexperiencewith Docker,Kubernetesand container technologies

  • Proficiencywith infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, GIT,etc)

  • Skilledinloganalysis andmonitoring tools(CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace, New Relic, Grafana)

  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL), andSQL

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

  • Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools & practicesis preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science orrelatedfield

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $117,000 and $209,330. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
