About the product
Hands-on engineering role in a complex, enterprise-scale AWS platform in its stabilization and operations phase. Focus is on reliability, consolidation, and reducing technical debt – not greenfield development. You take ownership of critical platform components and work alongside an experienced senior, three mid-level engineers and 2-3 external consultants.

You’ll be focused in  •  Developing and maintaining AWS CDK infrastructure (Python) across 20+ infrastructure projects • Operating and troubleshooting 20+ ECS Fargate services and 50+ Lambda functions • Managing and optimizing GitLab CI/CD pipelines across 46 repositories • Working with RDS PostgreSQL – performance tuning, backup/recovery • Implementing security principles, build and maintain CloudWatch monitoring, alerting and dashboards • Taking ownership of specific platform components (data services, importers, integrations) • Ensuring coding quality and quality in the CI/CD pipelines • Identifying and fixing technical debt – solve problems, not just work around them • Improving documentation: runbooks, ADRs, operational guides • Supporting other team members on complex technical topics • Collaborating with and coordinating external consultants and team members on shared tasks and cross-cutting topics
In order to succeed, you’ll need  • University degree in computer engineering or comparable work experience • Minimum of 5 years proven experience working as a DevOps or related role or comparable job expertise • AWS Cloud Platform experience: ECS Fargate, Lambda, RDS PostgreSQL, CloudWatch, IAM, Secrets Manager • Infrastructure as Code tools: AWS CDK (Python) preferred; Terraform/CloudFormation with willingness to learn CDK • CI/CD tools: GitLab CI/CD or comparable • Experience with Docker, ECS Fargate or Kubernetes  • Experience with monitoring & incident Response - CloudWatch or comparable • Experience with Java/Springboot and PostgreSQL  • Security mindset: IAM least privilege, secrets management, WAF, GuardDuty
