Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.
You Are
You are the person who actually fixes the problem, not just logs the ticket. You have learned that the difference between good IT support and great IT support is whether someone can get back to their work in ten minutes or ten hours, and you take that seriously. When a laptop does not boot or a migration goes sideways, you do not panic or escalate immediately. You troubleshoot, you test, you figure it out.
You understand that end users are not IT people. They need their tools to work so they can do their jobs, and you know how to translate technical issues into plain explanations without making anyone feel like they asked a dumb question. You have worked with Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and the messy reality of hardware that breaks at the worst possible time. You know how to prioritize when three things need attention at once, and you follow through until the issue is actually resolved, not just marked closed.
At Synopsys, you will support a global engineering organization where uptime and reliability matter. The team depends on you, and what you fix today affects real work tomorrow.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide hands-on IT support for end users in the Hsinchu office, troubleshooting hardware, software, and workplace technology issues
- Deploy, configure, and migrate laptops and workstations, managing the full device lifecycle from setup to decommission
- Support Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications, resolving access, configuration, and performance issues
- Manage IT asset inventory and tracking systems, ensuring accurate records of hardware and software across the site
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues using structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Collaborate with regional and global IT teams to escalate complex issues and align on support standards
- Maintain workplace technology including printers, conference room equipment, and office IT infrastructure
The Impact You Will Have
- Keep engineers and teams productive by resolving technical issues quickly and correctly the first time
- Reduce downtime and frustration by managing laptop deployments and migrations smoothly during onboarding and transitions
- Improve asset visibility and compliance by maintaining accurate IT inventory and lifecycle tracking
- Strengthen IT service quality across the Hsinchu site by owning issues through to resolution
- Build trust with end users by delivering clear communication and reliable follow-up on every request
- Support global IT standards and processes by collaborating effectively across time zones and teams
- Help create a stable, responsive IT environment that lets people focus on their actual work
What You'll Need
- Experience in IT support, desktop support, or end user computing roles
- Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications
- Hands-on experience with laptop deployment, configuration, and hardware troubleshooting
- Familiarity with IT asset management and inventory tracking tools
- Understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure and workplace technology environments
- Ability to diagnose technical issues methodically and document troubleshooting steps clearly
- Fluency in Mandarin and English for supporting a bilingual user base
Who You Are
- You can talk to a frustrated user at 9am and a global IT engineer at 3pm and adjust your communication style without losing clarity
- You own the problem until it is solved, not until the ticket is reassigned
- You can juggle a laptop migration, a printer issue, and a Microsoft 365 access problem without dropping any of them
- You ask questions when something does not make sense instead of guessing and hoping it works
- You stay calm when things break unexpectedly because you know troubleshooting is part of the job, not a crisis
- You are willing to learn new tools and processes as the IT environment evolves
