Junior MRO Buyer – Greer USA

As a Junior MRO Buyer, you will be working within our plant in Greer, South Carolina. You will be part of an international team to follow-up on the plant’s missions and objectives.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities/activities associated with this position?

  • Leading cost savings projects, budget planning support, supplier relationship management, plant relationship management, supplier development, contract management, driving request for quote projects, purchase to pay processes, supplier portal management, strategic buying, understanding plant needs and improving spend and efficiencies within the purchase to pay process.

What are the expected contributions and KPIs of the role?

  • Meeting KPI targets (savings, purchase to pay process, budget analysis and improvements), driving cost savings projects from start to implementation (project management), improving cash flow with reduction of accruals (tied up cash), interpret contract agreements with suppliers, improving how we buy with commodities to support supplier consolidation, capable to investigate price increases and negotiate.

Profile

You are a highly motivated young graduate from a business school or university with a strong interest for purchasing, especially Industrial Procurement.As part of your studies, you have already undertaken an international curriculum (e.g., one semester or year outside your home country).

You are a team player who is used to collaborate with different actors. You are flexible and adaptable to a fast-moving environment. You can make decision in complex situations and pay attention to detail.

You are open minded and with a serious desire to embark on an international career.A first experience or internship in the automotive sector can be a plus, as well as a first experience in professional negotiation. You have knowledge in the Microsoft Package (Excel, PPT, Word,…)

Your English is fluent and another language is a plus.
