As a Site Procurement Manager in Plattsburgh, you will lead procurement operations at a key Alstom site, ensuring our supply chain delivers on quality, cost, and reliability. Your leadership will directly impact the success of our projects and the journeys of thousands who rely on our solutions every day.

Your role, Your impact

  • Coordinate with buyers and the procurement team on purchasing activities, supplier challenges, and Make or Buy decisions.
  • Act as a facilitator between Procurement and Product Line operational teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Manage suppliers’ Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance to support project execution and tender commitments.
  • Lead operational procurement responsibilities, including negotiations and cross-site/business bundling to drive savings.
  • Develop and manage the local Procurement team, monitoring workload and driving continuous improvement.
You'll work with sharp, committed teams across engineering, operations, and design — solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility. As Site Procurement Manager, you will be at the heart of strategic sourcing and supplier performance.

What you bring

  • 10 to 15 years of procurement experience, including commodity management and supplier market expertise.
  • Proven management experience (5 to 10 years) leading multicultural teams in a matrix environment.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and influencing skills to drive results and build trust-based relationships.
  • Ability to develop and empower teams, fostering a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic vision with a customer-centric mindset, balancing operational excellence with long-term value creation.

  • Achievement of yearly savings and profitability goals through effective procurement strategies.
  • Supplier performance improvements in Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) metrics.
  • Development and engagement of the local procurement team, driving high performance and growth.

Salary Range: $110,000-125,000 annually
