Job Description

Position : Site Planner / Scheduler

Industry : Oil & Gas

Employment Type : Contract (1 year)

Location : Kuala Lumpur

Job Scope(s):

  • Prepare and coordinate site planning and scheduling activities for Hook-Up and Commissioning (HUC) works, ensuring alignment with project requirements and execution timelines.
  • Develop and review work packs, including Construction Planning Norms (CPN), man-hour estimates, work norms, job cards, and other relevant planning documents.
  • Coordinate site operations, work sequencing, logistics arrangements, and resource planning to support efficient execution of construction and HUC activities.
  • Monitor and update project schedules, track work progress, and identify potential delays or scheduling conflicts for timely resolution.
  • Coordinate with construction, engineering, commissioning, and other relevant teams to manage work interfaces and ensure smooth execution of site activities.
  • Prepare, consolidate, and submit site progress reports, planning updates, and other required project documentation.
  • Ensure work packs and schedules are aligned with site requirements, resource availability, project milestones, and approved execution plans.
  • Provide planning and scheduling support for offshore topside maintenance and brownfield modification projects.

Requirement(s):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 2 years in a similar role or capacity.
  • Experience preparing work packs and planning documentation for Hook-Up and Commissioning (HUC) activities
  • Relevant experience in offshore topside maintenance and brownfield projects involving topside facilities.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience using Primavera P6 or equivalent planning and scheduling software.
  • Good understanding of work pack planning, man-hour estimation, work norms, job cards, and construction planning requirements.
  • Familiarity with site operations, work sequencing, logistics coordination, and interface management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and other tools used for project planning and reporting.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
