Job Description

Responsibilities:

Business Partnering:

  • Support the business by providing services, solutions and interventions across all people processes.
  • Implement employee engagement processes to improve the employee experience throughout
  • the employee lifecycle.
  • Provide advice and support to line managers on people-related decisions and ensure high ownership of the talent engagement, retention and development agenda.
  • Coordinate plant-level recruitment with the talent acquisition team.
  • Coordinate, execute and support various learning and development programs.
  • Coordinate and execute interventions according to the Regional and global COE's plan.
  • Manage and maintain required employee records.

Industrial Relations:

  • Plan to develop and put in place wage and salary programs that are in line with the company's plan and what other companies in the area are paying workers and contract workers.
  • Be completely responsible for managing labour relations with the support of plant management
  • and corporate people team, including negotiating with labour unions and contractors.
  • To ensure that wage agreements between the company and its workers are reached smoothly and that there are no lost workdays due to industrial relations issues.
  • Handle employee grievance procedures and consult with plants on union issues as needed.
  • Be the plant's expert on union issues when needed.

Payroll And Benefits Management:

  • Manage payroll for plant employees, including all statutory compliances.
  • Administer employee benefits including managing employee-related insurance schemes
  • for plant employees.

Statutory Compliances:

  • Maintain compliance with all applicable labour laws and regulations at the plant level.
  • Manage contractual labour and third-party employees ensuring their attendance is tracked controlled
  • and their compliance with all applicable laws and regulations is supervised.
  • Liaison with different government agencies.
  • Manage the employee database at the plant level including managing personnel files.
  • Monitor HR and administration-related law changes closely and take proactive action to implement them.
  • Ensure that HR and administration contracts are in place and renewed on time.

Safety:

  • Implement and maintain effective processes and systems related to Serious 7 and Take 5.
  • Foster a culture of safety at all levels of the organization.
  • Strive to achieve a vision of zero incident/harm at our respective location.

Others:

  • Manage plant administration, including security, canteen, transportation, guest house
  • and other administrative facilities and activities.
  • Lead corporate social responsibility initiatives at the plant level in line with corporate strategy.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA),Human Resources Management (HRM),
  • Personnel Management and Industrial Relations (PMIR) or Social Work (MSW).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in generalist human resources and industrial relations for
  • a manufacturing site.

Responsibilities:

Plant HR Leadership & Business Partnering:

  • Act as the HR leader for the plant, representing HR in the Plant Leadership Team.
  • Partner closely with Plant Head and functional leaders to support business objectives through effective people practices.
  • Own and manage all plant-level HR operations, including workforce planning, employee engagement, performance management, disciplinary actions, and merit increase processes.
  • Drive a positive employee relations climate and enhance overall employee experience for plant employees.
  • Provide hands-on guidance to line managers on employee matters, ensuring consistency and compliance in people-related decisions.

Recruitment & Onboarding (Plant Workforce)

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment of blue-collar workforce for the plant, including manpower planning, sourcing, selection, and hiring.
  • Own and execute complete onboarding and induction of all new hires at the plant, ensuring smooth joining and assimilation.
  • Coordinate with the central Talent Acquisition team for white-collar hiring requirements, as applicable.

Learning & Development

  • Own end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of plant-level training programs with primary focus on the blue-collar workforce.
  • Identify training needs in consultation with plant leadership and functional heads.
  • Coordinate technical, safety, statutory, and behavioral training for shop-floor employees.
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory and statutory training requirements and maintain accurate training records.
  • Implement training interventions in alignment with Regional and Global COE guidelines.

Industrial Relations:

  • Ensure timely execution and renewal of HR, labour, and administration-related contracts

Administration & Facility Management

  • Oversee plant administration and facility management, including security, canteen, transportation, guest house, housekeeping, and related services.
  • Supervise site teams including security personnel, administration staff, and facility management teams.
  • Oversee end to end facility management at the site.
  • Manage vendors, service quality, and costs related to plant administration.

Safety & Culture

  • Support and implement plant safety initiatives including Serious 7 and Take 5 systems.
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture across all levels of the plant workforce.
  • Collaborate with EHS teams to drive the vision of zero incidents and zero harm.

CSR

  • Lead end-to-end CSR initiatives at the plant, from conceptualization and planning to execution and impact measurement.
  • Align site CSR activities with corporate CSR strategy and statutory obligations.
  • Engage with local communities, authorities, and partners to ensure meaningful CSR outcomes.

People & Team Management

  • Lead and manage the plant HR team and extended teams, including administration, security, and facility management.
  • The People HR Manager will function as the Head of HR at the site level
  • Build capability, ensure accountability, and drive performance across all site HR and administration functions.

Essential:
