We are seeking a reliable and hands on Facilities Operator to support the ongoing operation of our large-scale Aldoga solar farm. This role focuses primarily on vegetation management including slashing and weed spraying as well as warehouse management.

This is a practical, outdoor position ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in maintaining well-presented sites, environmental compliance, and strongly values safety.

Key Responsibilities

Vegetation Management

• Slashing and mowing around PV arrays, roads, drainage lines, and perimeter fencing
• Herbicide application in accordance with site procedures and environmental requirements
• Identification and control of weeds and invasive species
• Routine inspection of site grounds and reporting of issues or hazards
• Routine inspections and minor maintenance tasks on tractor, slasher and spraying buggy.

Warehouse & Asset Management

• Oversee warehouse and storage areas across site operations
• Conduct stock takes, manage inventory, and track assets
• Manage spare parts, consumables, and warranty documentation
• Raise purchase requests and liaise with suppliers as needed
• Keep accurate records and documentation up to date

General Site Support

• Assist with general facility maintenance and repair tasks
• Support contractors and visitors while on site
• Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards
• Ensure compliance with WHS obligations and environmental regulations

Required Skills and Competencies

• Demonstrated experience in vegetation management and tractor operation (slashing, spraying, grounds maintenance)
• Current Commercial Spraying Licence or willingness to obtain
• Forklift Licence (LF) or willingness to obtain
• Strong awareness of workplace health and safety practices
• Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Current Driver’s Licence (Manual Vehicle)
• Basic computer skills and familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite
• Appropriate Trade Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical Disciplines other.
• Electrical trade must or be able to hold a valid QLD “A Grade” Electrical License (beneficial)
• Minimum 3 to 5 years post trade qualifications.
• Basic computer skills and familiar with the Microsoft Office suite
• Current driver license (Manual Vehicle).
• Capacity to undertake responsibilities in accordance with the ACCIONA Energía Safety Management System.
