Responsibilities:

The Site Operations Manager is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient 24/7 operation of a colocation data center facility in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This is a senior leadership role accountable for all aspects of critical infrastructure management including power systems, cooling, building management, physical security, compliance, and the operational teams that keep the facility running.

• Lead and manage the 24/7 critical facility operations team including engineers, technicians, and shift supervisors
• Ensure uninterrupted availability of all critical infrastructure systems — power, cooling, fire suppression, security, and monitoring
• Own the facility's operational procedures, emergency operating procedures (EOPs), and shift handover standards
• Act as the primary Incident Commander during P1 major incidents — activate the war-room, lead the technical response, and manage all stakeholder communications
• Conduct post-incident reviews and drive root cause analysis (RCA) to closure with documented corrective actions
• Oversee the Change Advisory Board (CAB) process for all facility changes and ensure zero unplanned downtime from change activity

Experience & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in critical facility, data center, or mission-critical infrastructure operations
• 3+ years in a management or leadership role overseeing a multi-disciplinary operations team
• Demonstrable experience managing 24/7 critical infrastructure operations in a colocation, carrier-neutral, or enterprise data center environment
• Proven track record of managing P1 major incidents including stakeholder communication and post-incident review
• Experience managing vendor contracts, SLAs, and third-party performance in a technical environment
• Experience managing operational budgets and producing financial performance reports
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline
• In-depth understanding of data center power systems: UPS (static and rotary), diesel generators, medium and low voltage switchgear, automatic transfer switches, PDUs
• In-depth understanding of data center cooling systems: chillers, cooling towers, CRACs/CRAHs, in-row cooling, free cooling / economizer systems, chilled water distribution
• Working knowledge of BMS/DCIM platforms and their use in capacity management, alarm monitoring, and reporting
• Familiarity with fire suppression systems (pre-action, gaseous suppression), VESDA detection, and related life safety systems
• Knowledge of physical security systems: access control, CCTV, mantraps, and visitor management
• Familiarity with international data center standards: Uptime Institute Tiers, TIA-942 etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree – Electrical / Mechanical / Computer Engineering
• Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Specialist (ATS) or Operations Professional (AOP) certification
• CDCP (Certified Data Center Professional) or CDCPE (Certified Data Center Professional Expert) — EPI
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
• Experience operating in Central Asian or CIS markets, including knowledge of local regulatory and permitting frameworks in Uzbekistan
