The Assistant Merchandise Manager (AMM) for our Denim Program is a critical role on the Bloomingdale’s Site Merchandising & Optimization team responsible for executing brand and category strategies online. The Assistant Merchandise Manager will support the program lead in optimizing strategies for website merchandising, navigation and content execution to increase conversion and support the sales plans for the full category, with a special focus on the program brands.
Essential Functions:
Maintain integrity of on-site search and browse navigation and attribution of products for brands; optimize Product Detail Pages, including size and fit information, attribution, tagging, images, reviews, etc.
Execute merchandising strategies for navigation, on-site search, assortment layout, site content, and site enhancements; ensuring an omni-channel approach
Collaborate with external brand partners and internal teams to drive business strategy, objectives, and priorities
Use Adobe analytics platform to monitor demand, traffic, engagement and conversion across key categories and brands to inform and optimize merchandising strategies
Maintain the quality of search results and cross-sells and upsells for your brands
Set-up and test website promotions to ensure proper offer functionality pre and post-launch
Foster strong strategic relationships both internally with merchants, marketing, creative, and externally with vendor partner to fully understand and support key business priorities
Continually seek opportunities to grow the business and improve the customer shopping experience though innovation and competitive analysis
Provide data-driven recommendations to improve online messaging & merchandising execution
Assist in campaign planning for on-site content for your brands
Support digital marketing execution by implementing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) recommendations and assisting Search and Affiliate teams with linking support
Qualifications and Competencies:
Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university
1-3 years direct experience
Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs
Knowledge of MS Office computer programs are required
