Job Description

This role will see you manage the amazing fields at the UNSW David Phillips Centre located in Daceyville. Oversee all aspects of site operations including scheduling, resource management, client liaison and leadership and development of a dedicated team.

About You

• You are a qualified in sports turf management with a strong background working across high quality sports field sites.
• You are computer literate and have excellent organisational skills.
• You have previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role where you have proven yourself to be able to motivate and develop your team members to get the best out of them. This role will have responsibility for performance management of staff and also ensuring successful training of apprentices.
• Above all, you have a can-do attitude and thrive under pressure - no two days will be the same in this fast-paced role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team, providing guidance and support to ensure the needs of the client are met and exceeded.
• Plan, schedule and oversee operations of the site
• Collaborate with the client to understand their preferences, address concerns, and provide recommendations
• Conduct site assessments to identify maintenance needs, develop work plans, and estimate resource requirements
• Implement a turf program for seasonal weeds within turf
• Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies
• Provide monthly reporting to management
• Foster a culture of safety
