The role of a Site Manager in maintenance involves overseeing the overall management of site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key responsibilities include supervising construction projects, coordinating and supervising construction workers, managing the use of construction equipment and machinery, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. The Site Manager is responsible for maintaining communication between project managers, site staff, and clients, and resolving problems and implementing improvements in construction processes.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Site managers are responsible for managing all on-site activities, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating tasks among workers and subcontractors. They ensure that projects adhere to timelines and budgets.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations is a critical aspect of the site manager's role. They conduct regular safety inspections, implement safety protocols, and provide training to workers to minimize risks.
  • Site managers maintain high standards of quality control throughout the construction process. They inspect work regularly to ensure it meets project specifications and industry standards.
  • Effective communication is essential for site managers. They liaise with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and project managers, to report progress, address issues, and coordinate efforts.
  • Site managers are responsible for managing materials and equipment on-site. This includes ordering supplies, tracking inventory, and ensuring that resources are used efficiently to prevent delays.

What We Are Looking For

  • A strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and equipment is essential for site managers. They often have backgrounds in engineering, architecture, or construction management.
  • 5-10 years of experience with large-scale maintenance & turnaround projects
  • Site managers must be able to lead and motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and make decisions under pressure.
  • They need to be adept at identifying issues and implementing effective solutions quickly to keep projects on track.
