Site Manager – Tier 1 Main Contractor (Educational Project)
A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a long-term educational bundle project based across Co. Kildare. This is a key site-based role on a high-profile development, offering long-term stability and career progression. The successful candidate will bring strong site leadership, organisational skills, and a proven ability to deliver projects safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Manage daily site operations to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring all works are carried out in line with project specifications and programme
Work closely with the Project Manager to monitor progress and address any issues impacting delivery
Implement and maintain site Health & Safety procedures, ensuring full compliance with regulations and company policies
Plan and manage site logistics, including materials, plant, and labour resources
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are achieved and maintained
Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, site diaries, and photographic records
Chair site coordination meetings with subcontractors and ensure clear communication of targets and expectations
Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and resolve any on-site issues
Requirements
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Site Manager role within main contracting
Proven experience delivering large-scale construction projects, ideally in the education or public sector
Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, and site management
Excellent understanding of Health & Safety regulations and site compliance requirements
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple trades
Relevant construction qualifications (e.g. degree/diploma in construction management or trade background)
