Job Description

Our client, a Tier 1 main contractor, is seeking a Site Manager to oversee a mixed-use development project in Galway City This is a long-term opportunity to lead the delivery of a high-profile build that includes residential, commercial, and public infrastructure elements. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating teams, and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.

To be successful in this role, the preferred candidate will have 3+ years of management experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage complex construction projects from groundworks through to handover.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage daily site operations and ensure adherence to project timelines.
2. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to maintain workflow.
3. Implement and enforce health & safety and environmental procedures.
4. Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with design specifications.
5. Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports and inspections.
6. Liaise with the Project Manager and design team to resolve technical issues.
7. Lead site meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders.
8. Oversee logistics, materials, and equipment management.
9. Ensure successful delivery of project milestones and final handover.

Requirements:

1. 3+ years’ experience in a Site Manager or similar leadership role.
2. Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects.
3. Strong understanding of construction methodologies and site coordination.
4. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to manage multiple teams and subcontractors effectively.
6. Relevant construction or engineering qualifications.
