Job Description

Our client, a well-established semi-state organisation, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their construction team based in Dublin 2, working across a portfolio of residential developments This role will involve overseeing the construction phase of projects from a client-side perspective, ensuring works are delivered in line with design, programme, and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in the day-to-day site supervision and coordination of contractors and stakeholders. The successful candidate will possess strong residential construction experience, excellent reporting skills, and a proactive approach to site management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee and supervise construction works on site to ensure compliance with design and specifications.

  2. Monitor contractor performance and ensure works are executed safely and to programme.

  3. Coordinate contract interfaces and liaise with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.

  4. Assess contractor payment applications in line with work completed on site.

  5. Review contractor claims, submissions, and method statements, providing clear feedback.

  6. Maintain detailed site records, reports, and photographic documentation.

  7. Attend and contribute to regular site and progress meetings.

  8. Support the administration of contracts in compliance with Safety, Health & Welfare at Work legislation.

  9. Identify, document, and report delays, variations, or site issues to senior management.

Requirements

  1. Degree in Engineering or an equivalent construction-related qualification.

  2. Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Site Manager, Resident Engineer, or similar role.

  3. Proven experience delivering residential construction projects

  4. Strong knowledge of construction methods, site supervision, and health & safety regulations.

  5. Excellent communication skills with high attention to detail and reporting accuracy.

  6. Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel between sites as required.
