Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a pharmaceutical project based in Athlone, Co. Westmeath. This role involves managing all on-site activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating subcontractors, maintaining compliance, and driving progress across all phases of construction.

To be successful, the preferred candidate will have a strong background in managing complex construction projects, ideally within the pharmaceutical or industrial sector, along with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage day-to-day site operations and ensure adherence to project timelines.
2. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
3. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
4. Monitor quality standards and implement corrective actions where necessary.
5. Conduct regular site meetings and progress reviews.
6. Liaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
7. Maintain accurate site records and reporting documentation.
8. Oversee logistics, deliveries, and resource allocation.
9. Support the project team in achieving key milestones and deliverables.

Role Requirements:

1. 5+ years’ experience in a Site Manager role, preferably within pharmaceutical or industrial projects.
2. Degree or qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
4. Proven ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors effectively.
5. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
6. Full driving licence and eligibility to work in Ireland.
