Welcome to Kanadevia Inova, a global innovation leader in the waste infrastructure space, where we believe in creating a sustainable future through technology and innovation.

Transforming Waste into Value

At Kanadevia Inova, we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of waste-to-X technology. We are not just waste managers; we are creators of value from what communities discard. Your role at Kanadevia Inova directly contributes to turning something once considered useless - waste - into something invaluable: energy, heat, hydrogen, fertilizer, and beyond.

Job Description

KVI Management Services (MS) UK operate a portfolio of AD Plants in England and Scotland. We are looking for an experienced Site manager to join our business, joining existing experienced site teams and central support functions.

This Yorkshire-based role is responsible for the management of two AD plants: a Standard Rules Installation and a bespoke food waste facility processing Animal By-Products (ABP) and operating to PAS 110 standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving plant performance, maintaining compliance, leading site teams, and ensuring strong financial and operational management across both facilities. Regular travel between sites is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the safe, compliant and efficient operation of both AD facilities, ensuring adherence to Environmental Permit, APHA, PAS 110 and company requirements.
  • Maximise plant performance, including biological stability, CHP electrical generation, heat utilisation and overall operational output, working closely with specialist advisers and support functions.
  • Manage site teams, contractors and service providers, ensuring all maintenance, statutory inspections, RAMS, permit-to-work activities and planned preventative maintenance programmes are completed effectively.
  • Take ownership of operational and financial performance, including budgeting, cash flow forecasting, profit and loss reviews, reporting, feedstock procurement and cost control.
  • Drive a strong health, safety and environmental culture through risk assessments, safe systems of work, incident reporting, training, competency development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities. Additional tasks may be required in line with the needs of the business.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing Anaerobic Digestion, renewable energy, waste processing or similar industrial facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Environmental Permit compliance, APHA requirements, PAS 110 standards and associated operational reporting processes.
  • WAMITAB qualification in Anaerobic Digestion or a related discipline is highly desirable.
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification (or willingness to obtain through company-supported training).
  • Experience in financial management, including budgeting, cash flow monitoring, operational reporting and performance analysis would be advantageous.

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrable experience leading operational teams in a process, waste, utilities or renewable energy environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to operational challenges.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with regulators, contractors, suppliers and investors.
  • Commitment to health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between sites, with occasional overnight stays as required.

Additional Information

  • Competitive salary
  • Car allowance
  • Bonus scheme
  • Private medical and dental care

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AD professional to join a growing renewable energy business and play a key role in the ongoing success and performance of its operational assets.

For HR agencies: Please note that we do not accept applications coming from agencies. Thank you.
