The Site Manager as a member of C&C Team, will be responsible for activities related to the construction, building and commissioning on customer site, from site mobilization, through civil, erection and commissioning work, as well as management activities related to this scope. The role requires good knowledge of the TI package execution plan, time schedule, scope of supply / work, major subcontracts, budget and account structure, status of documentation, EHS plan, site staffing plan, applicable local regulations, restrictions etc. For a particular project the Site Manager serves as a member of the Project Team, with accountability for Safety, Quality, Delivery (schedule) and Cost (including Statutory Labor compliances)- SQDC, for all jobsite activities in line with the contractual obligations of the project keeping GE Vernova Code of conduct at the center of what we do.
Principal Duties:
Performance assessments of all site staff including contract staff and life-of-project staff.
Closeout of all site subcontracts with fair and proper allocation of costs, minimizing impact to GE.
Safety:
Accountable for implementing the organization’s EHS Policy and Management Systems at the site, and for ensuring that established rules, safe working practices, and local laws and regulations are adhered, mentioning roles and responsibilities of Site Manager. Report all accidents, near misses and deviations and non-compliances with the applicable Safety directives to stakeholders defined. Ensure adherence to zero tolerance policy towards Life Saving Rules laid down by GE Vernova at all times to achieve mission of zero fatality. Im ple ment rem edial meas ures to r educe or eli mina te unsa fe a cts and condi tio ns. This r espo nsibili ty al so i ncludes i nformi ng, ins tr ucti ng a nd e ns ur ing si te sta ff trai ni ng in sa fer met hods of work a nd inve stiga ting eve ntual a ccide nts. Ensure that Risk assessment and method statements (RAMS) are prepared/ implemented for all high-risk jobs. TBT, P TW and PoW RA to be done e arly at pr oje ct s ites under y our par tici pati on s upe rvi si on Si te Ma na gers and all pac kage Ma nagers must a tte nd in TBT on Daily Basis i ncl uding M&E Le ade rs and PCCMs, duri ng their s tay at si te. Identify all Critical Lifts / Preparation of MS and RA for entire scope in the Project. GENBA walk down with respective leads, to be done every week and all Corrective Actions against the concerns raised in the Leadership-walk down to be closed ASAP. Manage the RFI process (TQ – Technical Query List ) with site subcontractors and ensure issuance of proper TIR’s (Technical Issue resolution) in MTA, if required, to obtain additional information, document additional cost or delay, or initiate back charges to sub- contractor’s.
• Implementation of quality control and inspection procedures as required by the contract and approved quality assurance plan.
• Implementation of DMS- Daily management system, Nonconformance cost (NCC ) and Cost Of Poor Quality (CoPQ) at site .
Basic Qualifications(requirements):
Bachelor’s degree in engineering with the experience in Turbine and its auxiliaries package.
>15 years’ experience and Minimum has worked as lead in TI package and successfully supported in commissioning of atleast one Unit of 600MW and above.
