General Job Function:
Site manager provides rapid response and support to customer in resolving their issues and improving process efficiency by coordinating while profitably achieving qualitative and quantitative targets for the service products and solutions. In this role, he also plays a key role in developing new opportunities for extending services for business line, introducing new tools and service products to customer from time to time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Overall Westinghouse site lead with responsibility to give official Westinghouse positions and to direct Westinghouse resources to support emergent needs that threaten plant safety, availability or capacity factor.
•Serve as the primary WEC onsite contact to all levels of site management and plant personnel on technical matters concerning all Westinghouse systems products and services. Specialized in Instrument & Control, DCS systems.
• Coordinate with the Customer’s staff and Westinghouse staff to implement all site services.
• Serve WEC and the customer as the on-site technical liaison who is cognizant of both parties’ organizations to expedite responses to information and service needs.
• Require a broad nuclear technical knowledge of products and services and nuclear plant systems/operations in order for the customer to receive prompt responses to technical questions on equipment design, condition or recommended repair.
• Serves as the site Manager for all onsite activities of all WEC Nuclear service commitments including physical work scope for product lines, Health Physics/ALARA, Scheduling /Planning, security, training, material shipping and receiving. Will support the other sites during their outages when required.
• Conducts project kickoffs, Outage challenge reviews, and pre and post job briefings. Compiles and delivers reports before, during and immediately upon completion of each WEC project. Including in these reports are discussions on scope, schedule, budget, overall performance and best practices based on lessons learned and Operational Experience (OE).
• Provides leadership for the Westinghouse Technical Leads to ensure continued improvement of project and professional performance.
• Manages multi-million dollar projects ensuring that all commitments are met and that WEC and Utility Customer policies and procedures are followed.
• Design and Signature authority on behalf of WEC for areas within his/her expertise.
Education Level: Bachelor’s or Master of Science degrees in engineering or related field.
Years of Experience: At least 10-15 years of related experience in the Nuclear Industry, engineering or product management and exposure to marketing principles and processes.
Professional Certifications: PMP is a plus
