This position is being recruited in support of a proposal and is contingent upon contract award.
The Site Manager is responsible for managing the Defense Logistics Agency's warehousing and distribution services contract at Hill AFB, UT. This role involves building and leading a team of specialists in warehousing and distribution. Furthermore, the Site Manager oversees all contract performance, supervises staff, and serves as the main contact with the Government.
What you will be responsible for:
• Oversee all aspects of cost control, risk management, logistics analysis, application of DoD supplies policies, and implementation of commercial best practices
• Develop internal business rules and policies to meet various contract performance standards and Acceptable Performance Levels (APL)
• Build, manage, and train a highly effective team of warehouse and distribution specialists
• Coach and mentor supervisors and team leads to ensure proper work scheduling
• Serve as the primary liaison with the customer and hold full authority to act on behalf of the company regarding contract performance
• Perform all other duties as required
What you will need to be successful in this role:
• High school diploma or GED Required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Minimum five years of distribution management experience or ten years of management experience in Distribution Management
• Three years of recent experience with automated warehouse management systems.
• Experience in creating, implementing, and executing program plans and standard operating procedures
• Experience in building, training, and managing a team
• Proficiency in MS Office, Warehouse Management, and Inventory Management Systems
• Knowledge of military supply chain processes and inventory practices
• Eligibility for a government CAC and Secret Security Clearance (if required).
• This position requires compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Candidates must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or individual admitted as a refugee or granted
