Job Description

Our client, a Tier 1 Main Contractor, is seeking a Site Manager to join their team on a major surgical hub project based in Cork This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile healthcare development with long-term projects to follow in the region. The successful candidate will have previous experience managing construction sites and possess strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee day-to-day site operations to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
2. Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site personnel.
3. Monitor progress against schedules and implement corrective actions where necessary.
4. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards on-site.
5. Conduct site inspections and quality checks to maintain high standards.
6. Liaise with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to maintain clear communication.
7. Prepare and maintain accurate site records and reports.
8. Resolve technical and operational issues promptly to avoid delays.
9. Drive continuous improvement and ensure efficient resource utilization.

Requirements:

1. Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in site management, ideally with a Tier 1 contractor.
3. Proven track record managing large-scale building projects.
4. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
5. Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
6. Full, clean driving license.
