About the Role

Reporting to the Northern Region Operations Manager, you will drive site performance, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure production, growing, harvesting, and crop care activities meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Please note that this is a critical leadership role requiring on-call availability (24/7) to respond to operational needs.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Site Leadership: Inspire, lead and develop teams across Growing, IPM, Harvesting, Crop Care and Production.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including planning, execution and reporting.
  • People Leadership: Drive a high-performance culture; support the full employee lifecycle in collaboration with HR.
  • Health & Safety: Champion a culture of safety, wellbeing, and compliance, partnering with OHS teams and site leaders.
  • Strategy & Planning: Align site goals with regional business strategy and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Manage budgeting, reporting, and performance tracking to deliver business outcomes.
  • Sustainability & Quality: Ensure growing strategies promote sustainability, crop quality, and optimal yield.

What You’ll Bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Horticulture, Agriculture, Business, or a related field (desirable).
  • Minimum 5 years’ operational leadership experience, managing a large workforce within dynamic operations
  • Solid understanding of Fair Work legislation, modern awards, and employment relations (highly regarded).
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, planning, and performance management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to lead change, build strong teams, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • High energy, strong judgment, and a passion for innovation and improvement.
