Site Lead – Facilities Support Services

Location: Fort Meade, MD

Position Summary

LAUKOA is seeking a qualified Site Lead to support facilities operations at Fort Meade, Maryland. This position is responsible for supporting daily facility maintenance operations, coordinating assigned staff, monitoring work performance, and helping ensure all work is completed within required timeframes and in accordance with applicable codes, safety procedures, and contract requirements. The Site Lead is expected to serve as a senior maintenance technician and may perform hands-on work on equipment and facility systems as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and support daily facilities maintenance operations for assigned locations.
  • Coordinate daily work assignments for maintenance personnel and support staff.
  • Monitor staff performance and help ensure work is completed within required timeframes.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance work on equipment, building systems, and facility components as needed.
  • Support preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, service orders, inspections, and repair activities.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with applicable codes, safety requirements, and contract standards.
  • Communicate with the Project Manager, Government representatives, facility management staff, and other site personnel as required.
  • Support planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance work across multiple trades and service areas.
  • Help identify operational issues, work delays, resource needs, and corrective actions.
  • Receive, update, and close out assigned work orders in the CMMS.
  • Support subcontractors, vendors, and other maintenance personnel during approved work activities.
  • Notify appropriate management personnel of planned or unplanned absences and provide alternate contact information when required.
  • Promote productivity, teamwork, safe work practices, and professional performance across the site team.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas while complying with all environmental, safety, security, and contract requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in facility maintenance, facility management, or operations and maintenance support.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory or lead experience.
  • Experience performing or overseeing maintenance work in commercial, industrial, institutional, secure, or Government facilities.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance work across multiple trades or service areas preferred.
  • Experience using a CMMS, work order system, or similar tracking system preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of facilities maintenance, building systems, service orders, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Ability to lead maintenance personnel and support daily work execution.
  • Ability to perform hands-on maintenance work as a senior maintenance technician when needed.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, schedules, technical documentation, and contract requirements.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with Government representatives, management, employees, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Basic computer skills sufficient to receive work assignments, update CMMS records, enter data, and complete required documentation.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and support timely completion of work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary facilities support team.

Security Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
  • Must comply with all site access, badge, security, and secure facility requirements.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull tools, materials, parts, and equipment consistent with the duties of the position.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, climb stairs, and perform hands-on maintenance work as needed.
  • Ability to access mechanical rooms, equipment areas, rooftops, exterior facilities, and occupied Government work areas.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely perform physically demanding maintenance and site coordination activities for extended periods.

Salary Range

  • $110,000 to $150,000 depending on qualifications
