Part 4. Job Content
Role Objective: To provide electrical engineering support for the successful delivery of Design & Build interior fit-out projects by reviewing electrical designs, supervising installation works, coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces, monitoring construction quality, and ensuring all electrical and ELV systems are designed, installed, tested and commissioned in accordance with project specifications, Company standards, requirements and applicable statutory regulations.
4.1 Key Accountabilities
- Review electrical design drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), load calculations, lighting calculations, shop drawings, material submittals and method statements to ensure compliance with project specifications, Company requirements and applicable codes.
- Supervise and inspect the installation of all electrical systems including power distribution, lighting systems, emergency lighting, small power, distribution boards, cable containment, wiring systems, earthing, lightning protection (where applicable) and associated electrical equipment.
- Review and monitor the installation of ELV systems including structured cabling, data and voice networks, CCTV, access control, public address systems, intercom systems, IPTV, audio-visual systems, BMS interfaces and other low-current systems included within the project scope.
- Coordinate electrical works with architectural, mechanical, fire protection and ICT disciplines to ensure proper integration and compliance with approved designs.
- Review equipment selections and verify compliance with approved schedules, energy efficiency requirements and manufacturer recommendations.
- Monitor construction progress, review inspection requests, identify technical issues, issue observations and non-conformance reports (NCRs), and verify corrective actions.
- Witness testing and commissioning activities including insulation resistance tests, continuity tests, functional testing, emergency lighting testing, ELV system integration, power-on testing and final commissioning.
- Review commissioning procedures, test reports, operation & maintenance manuals and as-built documentation prior to project handover.
- Participate in factory inspections, material inspections, mock-ups, site acceptance tests (SAT), integrated systems testing and final handover inspections.
- Assist in reviewing contractor payment applications, variation proposals and claims related to electrical and ELV works.
- Ensure all electrical and ELV installations comply with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), Qatar Civil Defense (QCD), Kahramaa regulations, IEC standards, NFPA requirements and other applicable international standards.
- Maintain accurate project documentation including RFIs, technical submittals, inspection records, commissioning reports and as-built documentation.
- General Responsibilities in Quality, Environmental & Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems
- Aware of the QHSE Management System.
- Understand the importance of conformance to the QHSE Policy and procedures and to the requirements of QHSE management system.
- Aware of the Customer Requirements (where relevant).
- Aware of the Significant Environmental Aspects and Occupational Hazards / risk in this area of operation.
- Understand the potential consequences of deviations from approved procedures, specifications and safety requirements.
- Aware of current Objectives and Targets in this area and what is the current status.
- Aware of mergency Preparedness & Response.
- Aware of Security Requirements, sexual exploitation and abuse or gender based violence.
Part 5. Working Conditions & Hazards

safety equipment.
Part 6. Job Requirement
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional registration is preferred.
- Certification in Testing & Commissioning or Low Voltage Systems is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, construction supervision or project management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in high-end commercial office fit-out projects.
- Proven experience in Design & Build projects.
- Strong experience in electrical distribution systems, lighting, emergency power, ELV and ICT coordination.
- Experience in testing and commissioning of electrical and low-current systems.
- Experience in Qatar and familiarity with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), Kahramaa regulations, Qatar Civil Defense requirements and local authority approval procedures.
