Job Description

Stantec is currently seeking a Site Inspector to join our team in Dubai. As a Site Inspector, you will be responsible for overseeing construction activities on site and ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and codes.
  • Supervise structural works such as interchange, tunnels, culverts, retaining walls, manholes, and ducts
  • Monitor construction progress and provide regular updates to the project team.
  • Review and approve contractor submittals, including materials, shop drawings, and method statements.
  • Identify and report any potential issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
  • Review and approve contractor invoices and prepare progress reports.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with other project team members, including engineers, architects, and contractors.
  • Attend project meetings and provide input on construction-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all site activities, including daily reports, photos, and correspondence.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant technical qualification in related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction inspection on large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction-related software.
  • MUST HAVE Experience in supervising structural works such as interchange, tunnels, culverts, retaining walls, manholes, and ducts).
  • MUST HAVE experience working with supervision consultants
  • MUST HAVE full and complete knowledge of existing infrastructure networks in the emirates of Dubai
  • Valid driver's license (Preferred)
