The IE Data Engineer strengthens manufacturing performance by developing reliable data processes, analytics, dashboards, and digital solutions that improve visibility, decision-making, and operational execution.
Ultimately, this position helps the site move from data collection to true data utilization, enabling faster decisions, stronger standards, and more sustainable performance improvement.
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related industry
Experience in manufacturing, operations, and or Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies
0-2 years of manufacturing environment
Experience with data analysis tools
Strong analytical problem-solving skills, ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment, and highly comfortable engaging directly with operations teams on the production floor
10% domestic travel
Preferred:
Six Sigma Green/Black Belt (preferred) or actively working towards it
Knowledge of Excel, Power BI, ERP, and SQL or similar systems
Analyze manufacturing processes to improve safety, efficiency, throughput, and operational stability
Process, validate, clean, and structure manufacturing data to support accurate reporting and analysis
Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics tools for line performance, TRS / OEE, NQC, downtime, reliability, throughput, and operational losses
Translate manufacturing data into clear insights, trends, and recommended actions for site teams and leadership
Support local deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement of digital solutions, dashboards, and reporting tools
Serve as a local data steward by supporting data quality, standard definitions, validation rules, and stakeholder alignment
Partner with Operations, Technical, MSE, CI, and IE teams to identify data gaps, reporting needs, and improvement opportunities
Support line performance improvement through data analysis, floor validation, and cross-functional problem solving
Develop and maintain labor models, capacity planning tools, staffing analysis, and operational performance reporting
Support continuous improvement activities related to waste reduction, bottleneck analysis, layout, material flow, and standard work
Provide functional support to local and regional IE / MSE teams as needed
