Job Description

The Site HSE Manager is responsible for leading and managing all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) activities at the project site, ensuring compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, client, and company requirements. The role supports the implementation and continual improvement of the HSE Management System (HSEMS), provides technical guidance to project teams, and promotes a proactive safety culture across all site operations.

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day HSE activities and supervision at the project site, ensuring compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, client, and project HSE requirements.
  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSEMS) across site operations.
  • Conduct and coordinate site HSE inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring activities, identifying gaps and following up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Review, develop, and update HSEMS documentation, including HSE plans, procedures, risk assessments, work instructions, and other relevant HSE documents.
  • Provide technical HSE guidance and support to site teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of HSE requirements and good industry practices.
  • Engage and coordinate with the Client and relevant stakeholders on day-to-day HSE matters, compliance requirements, performance, and improvement initiatives.
  • Support regulatory compliance activities.
  • Monitor HSE performance, identify areas for improvement, and support implementation of appropriate corrective and improvement measures.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an accepted equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or higher-level HSE qualification.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant HSE experience within Oil & Gas, Mining, Construction, Industrial, or similar high-risk environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in site-based HSE management and supervision.
  • Relevant experience in HSE regulatory compliance and engagement with regulatory authorities.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting and/or supporting HSE audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
  • Good working knowledge of HSE Management Systems, applicable regulatory requirements, and recognised industry standards.
