Site Financial Analyst

Location: San Jose, Costa Rica

Join a collaborative finance team supporting three key Lonza sites and shaping the financial success of major R&D and capital investment initiatives. In this role, you’ll provide analytical insights, partner with site leadership, and play a vital part in delivering accurate financial results and business guidance.

Compensation for this role will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and relevant knowledge.

What you will do

  • Provide insightful financial analysis to help the bioscience sites achieve short‑ and long‑term business targets

  • Lead or support monthly closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across multiple sites

  • Monitor, analyze, and report manufacturing variances while identifying key performance drivers and opportunities for improvement

  • Support or lead the preparation and presentation of financial results to business stakeholders, including Financial Councils

  • Develop business cases and deliver ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic decisions

  • Partner with site leadership during annual budgeting and long‑range planning to meet corporate targets and deadlines

  • Collaborate with Corporate Finance, R2R, Financial Compliance, and external auditors to ensure strong controls and compliance with Group policies

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field preferred.

  • Proficient experience in site or manufacturing finance, operational controlling, or financial advisory/audit.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP

  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills

  • Strong analytical capability and a collaborative mindset with cross‑functional partnering experience

  • Proactive approach and continuous improvement orientation, with the ability to prioritize and deliver high‑quality work under tight deadlines
