An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Finance Business Partner (Site FBP) to support the Compression Systems Manufacturing Business Unit (MBU) within Civil Aerospace Manufacturing Operations.

The Site Finance Business Partners (FBPs) are dedicated to supporting Rolls-Royce’s domestic manufacturing facilities all over the world. This role covers two site locations (Ansty, Coventry and Barnoldswick Northwest), but will be primarily located at the Barnoldswick site with occasional travel to Ansty.

Within Civil Aerospace, the Manufacturing Operations business is responsible for the integrated design, manufacture and supply of gas turbine sub-systems and components throughout the product lifecycle. Manufacturing Operations delivers to support Civil Wide Body, Business Aviation and Defence Aerospace from a number of MBUs. Each of these business units is accountable for; safety, quality, cost, delivery and technology, supplying engine parts and spares through in-house manufacturing capability.

What you will be doing:

As a Site Finance Business Partner, you will hold a key financial position within the Plant Leadership teams driving the business to achieve strong financial performance in the short and medium term. Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with the Plant Leadership team, driving improved business performance, providing insight and challenge to the wider teams.
  • Coaching members of the organisation to improve financial acumen and promote a cost-conscious culture.
  • Providing decision useful management information to Plant Leadership teams.
  • Manage the process to generate financial forecasts, including product costing and ensuring clear and concise business commentary for achieved performance.
  • Provide financial governance to the site and improve finance processes to deliver improved efficiency, accuracy or stronger financial control.
  • Proactively supporting continuous improvement as part of a Global Site finance community.

Position qualifications:

  • Professionally qualified accountant, experienced at operating at a management level, ideally with a level of manufacturing experience.
  • Able to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of individuals and teams.
  • Able to analyse and interpret complex financial information providing insight through simple and effective presentation of management information. Comfortable with dealing with ambiguity.
  • Strong communicator, comfortable challenging the status quo, credible with senior business stakeholders.
