Job Description
This position is responsible to the Transportation & Grounds Manager to fulfill the mission, vision, and commitments of HoneyRock by providing vehicle and equipment repair/maintenance, grounds work, and general maintenance, as directed. This is a professional, part-time 25 per week position located in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. This position pays $21-$23/hr.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform general automotive and heavy equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Partner with the Transportation & Grounds Manager to coordinate and periodically perform general grounds tasks such as lawn mowing, snow removal, firewood production, trash/recycling removal, landscaping, etc.
- Operate heavy equipment including but not limited to loader backhoe, tracked skid loader, small dump trucks, min-excavator, articulated loader, commercial mowing equipment etc.
- Assist with building maintenance tasks and general construction including carpentry, plumbing, electrical and general repairs.
- Assist with program equipment maintenance and support.
- Participates in monthly Site and Facility weekend on call duties.
- Serves as a resource for any additional functions.

Professional Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and accept supervision—self-directed work.
- Ability to meet Wheaton College driving standards, including valid U.S. driver’s license for six years and good driving record.
- Ability to drive vehicles and operate equipment (backhoe, skid steer, chain saws, snowplow, etc.).
- Familiarity is preferred in the following areas: A1-Engine Repair, A8-Engine Performance, A2-Automatic Trans, A5-Brakes. Willingness to pursue training as needed.
- Ability to obtain/retain CDL passenger and air brake endorsements.
- Knowledge of and ability to operate power tools.
- Ability to read technical manuals, computer literate.

Physical Requirements
This position is regularly required to stand, walk, reach overhead, push/pull, kneel, climb ladders, and lift up to 70 lbs.
