Broad Function

To lead the calibration and maintenance of SERB Pharmaceuticals site facilities, including manufacturing facilities, equipment and general maintenance requirements at the Turretfield site. To achieve efficient and reliable operations that are consistent with cGMP compliance.

Principle Responsibilities

1. Maintain all production systems in accordance with the principles of the Code of Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
2. GMP Equipment Introduction; URS and Scope Development, Procurement through Commissioning, Qualification, Handover and Validation activities, Maintenance Spare Parts and Continuous Process Verification of Equipment or System.
3. Providing support for validation activities, where relevant to site facilities and equipment, ensuring required documentation is completed.
4. Provide maintenance scheduling support to the SERB Pharmaceuticals Team, particularly in mechanical services such as HVAC & infrastructure.
5. Timely management and organisation of work requested through the maintenance help desk.
6. Overseeing and inducting contractors as required.

Education and Experience

• Training to the level of Diploma/Degree in a scientific, engineering or numerate discipline, or equivalent practical experience working within a maintenance and/ or entry level engineering function.
• Certificate 4 in WHS or willingness to obtain one
• Experience with maintenance and capital projects desirable.
• Experience ideally gained within the pharmaceutical industry; however, another regulated maintenance background may suffice such as food or medical devices industry.
• Awareness of cGMP or other recognised Quality Management System.
• Experience working in an environment where process efficiencies drive operational behaviour.
• Validation experience would be desirable, although not required.

• Competent, methodical, highly organised individual who pays strict attention to detail and has the ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks accurately within a high-pressure environment. Organisational skills should be strong with an ability to plan ahead.
• Creative thinker able to solve problems, question the status quo and consider innovative solutions to complex issues.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and demonstrate initiative when required with a flexible and willing attitude at all times.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
